Dainty, delicate, and breakable - this is the theme to my office decor. You see, I live with a husband, 4 pesky destructive felines, and one crazy pants toddler man, so, dainty, delicate, and breakable are three things that I am not allowed to have at home. It's a recipe for disaster and disappointment.
Now that I have my own office, however, I have decided that I can fill it full of things that would most definitely get destroyed in my house!
I've also decided upon white as my main color in my decorating palette - yes, white, because there's nobody here at work that's going to throw a sippy cup full of milk at me or throw up cat food on anything... at least I hope not.
It all started with two delicate vases from my favorite Swedish modular furniture store...
Ooooo! Look how big they are! Look how thin that glass is! So delicate...
Then, I wanted to have a deer head mount - thought it would help me bond with my Work Daddies...
Not what you were thinking? This super sweet little fawn is made out of something so amazingly breakable it was shipped in a crazy container surrounded by a foam mold of itself...
I've always wanted a set of these tiny dainty Ashley G porcelain mini's...
So small! So cute! Made of porcelain... fits all three criteria for being in my office!
I happened upon this beauty at Room Service one day...
Unicorn bookend?!? Yes, please!!! So fragile...
It dawned on me over the holidays that I didn't have anything green or alive in here, so, had to get some cute planters and a plant or two...
Thanks once again to my favorite Swedish modular furniture store for the awesome $1.99 white planters... woot!
But the real gem here is my amazing mini terrarium...
Behold!!! This is quite possibly the most dainty, delicate and breakable thing I have EVER owned. Ever. In my whole life. Seriously. Okay, maybe my newborn baby might have been a smidge more fragile...
Where did I get such a dainty, delicate and breakable object? Check out Sea & Asters over on Etsy...
Off to see if I can find an occassional chair made from a single mold of one continuous piece of glass...
xoxo
