What is it, boys?

Another snake? A moth? Spare change? Turns out it was... nothing... just some shady cat business...

A New Day!

...even the Canacorn Cats, who normally would never ever be caught dead in the same nap spot at the same time, put down their personal grievances towards one another, joined paws, and slept the good sleep together... for our new President... and for America...

Ozzy Immortal...

Yes, it's true... I do have four cats (and a husband, so, technically, I'm not a crazy cat lady)...

Of these four felines, I have a favorite - which seems okay because they are cats... not kids.

My favorite is my first born, Mr. Ozzy Osbourne-Corcoran. Here he is wearing his necktie...



Ozzy and I have been together for many many years... through all of life's ups and downs... he's always there for me. In fact, he's promised me that he'll never die so that we can be together forever... what a sweet boy.

The Husband was perusing the internet one day and stumbled upon a very talented artist by the name of Leah Moore...

She's a comic book artist that also happens to do portraits... of pets...

He was planning on surprising me with a portrait of my precious baby angel kitty for Christmas... but it was too great of an idea not to spill the beans early... plus, he wanted my input on which photo of Oz to use for the portrait...

We decided on the "All-Business Ozzy" photo - Oz in his necktie - even though he doesn't particularly care for his necktie, I think he looks very handsome in it...

Ozzy in the Box...

I was taking pics of some new owls in my photo box yesterday when Ozzy came in the room - as he often does - to "help" - which usually means 'please hold me like a baby and do your work at the same time'... or better yet 'forget whatever it is that you're doing in here and pay attention to me'...

Yesterday, however, he was incredibly curious about the photo box... he kept trying to get in there with the owls...

So, once I was finished taking owl pics, I thought, what the heck - let's see what he does in there... I mean, it's just a cardboard box, a piece of poster board, and some tissue paper... so, not much to get messed up...

Turns out, Ozzy was really into playing Handsome Boy Modeling School yesterday... check it out...

It's too bad one of the other cats took a little chunk out of his ear... I told him if it weren't for that - he could totally model for Fancy Feast... but as it stands... Alley Cat is probably the best print work we can hope for...

The Monkey...

The Monkey cat... poor guy... every cat in the house picks on him... which makes him depressed... which makes him eat... which makes him 20 pounds... yes, 20 pounds of cat.

The other day, we walked into the bedroom to find this...

Banished to the corner! Everybody puts Monkey in the corner...

Sometimes a cat needs a neck tie...

A friend of mine recently turned me onto a website called Kitty Wigs... It's pretty darn fantastic... but when I went to check it out, here's what I found...


Awesome! But, one tiny problem... I have boy cats... most of whom would not be down for a girlie wig... one would be totally cool with it... but that's another story for another day...

The husband and I got to thinking... Kitty Wigs should make a boy cat line of wigs - you know, stuff like "the newscaster"... it would be a sweeping bang with side burns... "the balding ring of hair"... pretty funny on a cat (and humans for that matter)... or even funnier... what if I made them little shirt collars with neck ties... what if...

What if it looked something like...

Would they wear it? Would they hate it? Would Dr. Bologna eat it?

We tried it on Dr. Bologna first, but he wasn't into the photos... no paparazzi for Dr. Bologna...

So, my precious angel, Ozzy Osbourne was next up... once bribed with treats, he was all about the photo opp...



My husband usually has a strict "no dressing the cats up" policy, but looks like he's cool with it as long as it's business attire... wonder if I could figure out how to make a little cat suit... hmmm....

Cat-tastrophe

Oh... it's just Dr. Bologna getting down from the window sill... but of course...

Here's what our cute gossip chair usually looks like... minus any assistance from one Doctor of Bologna...


It did make an impressive *crash!* when he took it down - we were cooking dinner and it took the husband a minute to find the massacre...

Cats, man... cats...

A little kitty help...

...sometimes they just want to hang out... I wonder if they think they're helping...

They almost make the shape of a heart, don't cha think?

What happens when we're not home...

When we came home from work the other day, our nutcracker was hat-less...

What's interesting is that his hat fell in such a way that it didn't fall off the ledge, didn't get relocated to under the couch or the rug where smaller items tend to end up... it looks almost as though it was placed at his base... on purpose...

None of the cats had any idea what could have possibly happened, although, when I put the nutcracker's hat back on, the monkey cat immediately bumped into it and the hat landed in the cat's water bowl...

So, the question remains... did these cats manage to knock the hat off the nutcracker and then somehow work together to place it oh so deliberately at his feet...

hmmm....
